# What happens to the metrics log when I remove students from a group?

When students are removed from a group, they will not be able to continue any courses or learning paths linked to that group. 

Does it affect related metrics? No. All their progress information, including completion certificates, **will be preserved** and these courses will be marked as “Not visible".
